    Easter 7 & 8

The weather continued to uphold its side of the bargain which enabled us to run Race 7 and 8 in the Easter Regatta series. A force 3 to 4 with a few challenging gusts blowing from the South West meant that we could set a course suitable for the fleets. Sadly, we had no boats in the Slow Handicap but we did have some stiff competition in the Fast and Scows. A Course

    Easter Race Series Race 1 & 2

After the F11 registered at Chimet on the Thursday there was always going to be a lingering blow on the Friday. Chimet was registering F6 at 09:00 and F5 at 11:00 with the forecast showing a drop over the following couple of hours observations taken at Bembridge Point suggested more of a constant south westerly F4 with small gust uplifts. The decision was taken to race and get some of

BHYC Icebreaker Sponsored by The King's Ginger Gusty conditions with a WNW F5/6 made the final races in this year's Open Icebreaker Series a challenging call for the competitors. Nevertheless, a good turnout with 13 boats on the water and all crews well wrapped up against the wintry conditions. First off at 10.00hrs were the Fast Handicap fleet. As always, nip and tuck between the highly

    Race Report for Icebreaker 7 - 8

"The forecasts for Sunday 25th February and races 7 and 8 of the Icebreaker series did not look promising, with very strong winds forecast to arrive by about midday. In the event as conditions in the harbour offered a great sailing breeze as the start time approached the decision was made to race, starting with a short first race and a review after that. Winter Series - Radio Controlled Sailing Results

On a cold but sunny afternoon we welcomed four new boats for the 5 th race in our winter series. A northerly F2/3 gave us perfect conditions and the chance to set a long line which we could all see down. With 10 competitors there was a lot of jostling for position at the starts, even a few collisions between those who should know better! The course was long
