RYA Stage 1

RYA Youth Learn to Sail Stage 1: Launching and recovery, steering, parts of the boat, basic sailing. After this course you should be able to steer and understand basic principles.
Stage 1 is the starting point for young people aged 8 and over wanting to learn to sail. This course is specially tailored to younger sailors and will teach the basic understanding of how a boat sails, with some experience of steering and handling the boat. During this course we aim to maximise water time, but there is some theory associated with the syllabus.
