RYA Stage 4

This is the natural progression from Stage 3
RYA Youth Stage 4 covers many of the same skills in Stage 3 but in a double handed boat. E.g. RS Feva.
Stage 4 will go into detail of:
- Rigging
- Launching
- Using rope and knots effectively
- improving your sailing techniques by deepening your knowledge and skills.
- How to solve a variety of potential problems afloat
- the importance of communication between the helm and the crew
It will introduce you to racing and the technical aspects of how a sail and boat works as well as some of the rules of sailing.
Cadets must be able to swim and be 8 years and over.
